Here is the latest information provided by the MLS™ for all of the established areas that are provided by The Combined Los Angeles/Westside Multiple Listing Service.
The Metropolitan Southwest area is bounded by Park Hills Heights to the northwest, Los Angeles Southwest to the north, Metropolitan South to the east, North Harbor Gateway to the south, and Inglewood to the west. Its street boundaries are Van Ness Ave. on the west, El Segundo Blvd. on the south, the Harbor Freeway on the east, and Florence Ave. on the north. Fifty-three homes sold during the period from January through May 2011, with the dollar volume of these sales totaling $10,621,400. This volume of sales is down from the $13,502,500 in home sales over the same time period in 2010. Home sale prices ranged from $80,000 to $307,000 in May 2011, with 13 homes selling during the month. The median price of the homes that sold during May 2011 was $160,000, with homes that sold having been on the market for an average of 26 days. The average list price was $180,264, and the average selling price was very close to that same number at $179,384.
