Between 2000 and 2010 the population of Inglewood decreased 2.6 percent while the overall population of California went up 10 percent.

Data listed the median age of residents in the city of Inglewood as being around 32 as the city has become a family community with 86 percent of its homes listed as family households. The owner occupancy rate is 37% while 63% of the housing units are occupied by renters.
The census shows that in 2010, 26.7 percent of the population was under 18 years of age while 9.4 percent was older than 65.
