The Los Angeles Times reports that NBA player Kwame Brown recently sold his home in Playa del Ray for $1.65 million. The home was originally listed for $2.999 million or for lease at $12,000 a month, underwent some major price cuts and has been pulled and put back on the market multiple times since 2008. The source says Brown purchased the home in 2005 for $3.375 million.
Brown, who currently plays for the Golden State Warriors formerly played for the Los Angeles Lakers. After his season with the Lakers, the source says he played for several other NBA teams until signing a one-year contract with the Warriors worth $7 million.
The Times reports that the 6,329-square-foot home has an open floor plan and includes four bedrooms and five bathrooms. The basketball player turned the basement into a full media room, including a built-in projector, screen and complete with a wet bar.
According to the source, the listing discloses that the home had sustained water damage on the main level and was in need of a new roof, windows, doors and elevator.
