Fans of songwriter Kara DioGuardi may be surprised to hear she has added her longtime home located in affluent Studio City to the list of homes for sale in Los Angeles County. Public records show she purchased the home for $3.5 million back in 2004, but she originally listed it for $10 million last year. The new buyers will be moving boxes in for an even lower price of $7.995 million.
DioGuardi has written for a number of famous artists including pop sensations Christina Aguilera, Britney Spears, Pink and Celine Dion. She was also a judge on American Idol.
The French-style home sits on three acres of land with a separate studio living space. The main home underwent renovations when owned by DioGuardi and her husband, and now has 7,600 square feet of living space including five bedrooms and six-and-a-half bathrooms. Some impressive features of the home include a 23-foot-tall fireplace, beamed ceilings and hardwood floors throughout.
While it has not been reported who will be moving into the Hollywood area home, plenty of other celebrities including Miley Cyrus and actor George Clooney will be their new neighbors.
