Radio legend Casey Kasem selling Los Angeles home

Fans of Casey Kasem's regular American Top 40 countdown show may be surprised to hear he is looking to move out of one longtime Southern California mansion, as it has recently been added to the list of Los Angeles County real estate for sale.
Celebrity real estate blog The Real Estalker reports he and his wife Jean have listed the home they purchased for $1.725 million back in 1989 for sale with a significantly higher asking price of $42 million
According to the source, the Kasems have been buying and selling a number of properties in the area, including homes in Lancaster and Malibu.
While the home was originally built in 1954, it has grown a notable amount as it now offers more than 12,000 square feet of living space including seven bedrooms and 17 bathrooms. The blog notes upon initial construction the home offered just 7,609 square feet of living space with seven bedrooms and nine bathrooms.
Some notable features of the home include swimming pool, a 15-car motor court, multiple large terraces, a cabana and numerous gazebos that provide shade from the warm California weather.
